High impacts are absorbed by the OFB’s moulded structure once the elastomer mounts have compressed under the initial impact. This is the same structure that is used in all of our Smartbars and has proved to be the most effective for frontal protection.

Pendulum Test -

The Pendulum test involves a 650kg pendulum hitting the bar to simulate a low speed collision. A crash pulse is recorded and this is used to determine if airbags will be activated.

All Out Front Bars meet the requirements of non triggering of airbags in low speed collisions.

The Out Front Bars are also tested and developed in the same way as the Smartbar is developed.

Out Front Bar Configurations
The Out Front Bar can be purchased in a variety of configurations to suit customer requirements. Note: Out Front Bar is only available in Black.
Base Model Features:	Upper spotlight mounting brackets. Provision to attach the driving or fog light kit. An aerial mounting bracket. Caps covering wing connection points.
Model with Side Wings:	Same features of the base model with the addition of side wing protector bars.
Model with Quad Wings:	Same features of the base model with the addition of 4 wing protector bars. Note: only available on some models.
Upgradable:	Side wings can be added to the base model (no wings) at a later date if required. Driving and fog light kits can be purchased and fitted at any stage.
Wide Range Of Vehicles	The Design of the OFB allows more vehicles to be fitted with fewer moulded parts. Different mounting brackets are created to mount the OFB to different vehicles. This reduces the cost to the end user by minimising the number of different mouldings.
